Anyone from runners and walkers to couch potatos are invited to come to the Gryphon Leisure Centre and complete a mile this spring for the Charity Sport Relief.
The event is being held on 25th March to raise money for Sport Relief, which helps people in need both in Britain and the world's poorest countries (Like Comic relief but a lot more brief and fun).
Entrants do not have to be good at sport and can choose to complete one, three or six miles.
The one-mile challenges will start at 11.30am and 12.30pm, while the three and six-mile event will begin at 1.30pm.
By entering the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile you are entitled to a free three day Fitness First Guest Pass.
Prams, buggies and children of all ages can take part. The route will be around the playing fields at the leisure centre on Bristol Road.
This is the first time that the Gryphon Leisure Centre has hosted the Sport Relief Mile. Join the fun by entering now at www.sportrelief.com
Organisers at the WDDC and Sherborne leisure centre, are hoping to attract up to 300 to the charitable event this year.
Robert Gould, Leader of West Dorset District Council, said: "This is a
great cause which improves lives here and across the world. It will be a
really enjoyable event and you do not have to be sporty to take part.
Anyone keen to take part is advised to register beforehand. However Entrants can also turn up on the day, providing the event is not full.
