Would wireless broadband be good for Dorchester's businesses?
A total of 20 projects have been suggested, currently topping the leaderboard in terms of votes is Wireless Broadband, followed by Information Displays and Maps and Brightening Up the Town and Approaches.
The BID team is attempting to shore up its manifesto ahead of polling later in the year that will determine whether the group will be re-elected for a further five years.
BID levy-payers will get 10 votes to use on whatever projects they think will most improve conditions for their business. Existing projects will remain on BIDs agenda, the voting will add new projects.
You can see the top 20 projects here.

How about opening some shops on Sunday? Dorchester is the only town I know in the area that's completely dead on a Sunday like it's the 50s or something.
People who don't work in towns only have 2 days a week to go shopping - it seems incredible that shops would be closed for half of them.
I really don't see what wireless broadband would add. Most people have 3G or can use cafe's wireless for free anyway.
