Wednesday 30th November is set to be a difficult day.  The Trade union Congress has organised a  day of strikes right across the country.  The protest is regarding proposed changes to the pensions of public sector workers.

Around 25 public sector unions and professional bodies are expected to take part nationally. More than 1,500 people are expected to join in a march in Dorchester town centre.

This will affect some government workers, heathcare staff and amongst others, teachers. Schools across Dorset maybe closed for the day, and others for a limited time with a skeleton staff. Bins will not be collected and other services may be interupted.

The Dorset County Council website is running daily online updates.  To keep abreast of the news keep checking their website regarding school closures.

Let us know if you are joining the march or how you feel about the issue.
