Magna Housing Association has signed up to the new 'Respect' charter to reaffirm its stance against anti-social behaviour (ASB).

The standard, launched at the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) conference in the summer, confirms Magna's commitment to provide a high quality ASB service which meets residents' needs and provides good value for their rent money.
The Audit Commission's most recent inspection of Magna's ASB service in 2009 described it as 'excellent'.
Group chief executive Graham Colls said: "Magna doesn't tolerate anti-social behaviour.
"Just over three years ago, we formed a team to deal specifically with ASB. The team responds to each case as soon as possible and works very closely with the police in resolving anti-social behaviour issues that affect our residents and the areas in which they live."
Ruth Martindale, who manages Magna's ASB team, said: "We encourage anyone who is suffering from harassment or any other form of anti-social behaviour to let us know. We deal with complaints in confidence where necessary and we can offer support to victims."
Magna also has two witness champions who are also able to help people through the process.
Our two witness champions, one of whom is a Magna resident, can help because they've been through the process themselves," Ruth said.
"Sometimes getting the result can often be lengthy and frustrating but we'd urge people not to be put off.
"The most positive aspect of the whole experience can be the community pulling together and solving a problem. Neighbours become friends while the area can be rejuvenated."
