To strengthen its commitment in helping young people with employment, ODEON Dorchester based on the Brewery Square development has appointed three more recruits to join its one year apprenticeship programme.

Since opening in 2012, the ODEON Dorchester has believed in growing young talent and has provided training opportunities to those living in the local community and surrounding areas.  The appointment of Anastasia Grundy, Abigail Connolly and James Payton takes the ODEON Dorchester's apprentices to seven.

Anastasia, age 19, Abigail, age 19, and James, age 21, join the ODEON Dorchester's educational programme as apprentice team members and they will be supported by both the cinema and training provider Lifetime Training to complete the nationally recognised and accredited NVQ level two in customer service.

These new recruits will gain high-quality vocational training through learning on the job from the management team at the ODEON Dorchester.  In the role of a team member, Anastasia, Abigail and James will be responsible for a variety of front-of-house duties including ticket sales, food and beverage sales as well as directing guests into the auditoriums to ensure the delivery of a first-class customer experience.

Alan Escott, general manager at the ODEON Dorchester, says: "We strongly believe in growing our own local talent and extend a huge welcome to Anastasia, Abigail and James.  We recognise that apprenticeships and training programmes provide people with an invaluable opportunity to develop their skills whilst benefiting from structured training and qualifications they can use for the rest of their careers.

"By completing an apprenticeship with the ODEON we aim for trainees to become extremely employable having gained skills and work experience at the largest and best-known cinema chain in the UK and Ireland."

Ticket prices at ODEON Dorchester are £2.00 on a Tuesday, £3 before 2pm daily and after 2pm £3 for children (12 years and under), teenagers (13 to 17 years) and seniors (60 plus) and £5 for adults.
