Saturday: Join Gillingham Walkers who leave the Barn Surgery 2pm for a four mile tramp. Blackmore Vale and Yeovil NT Association members meet 2.30pm in the Digby Hall, Sherborne. Sturminster Original Market and Car Boot, 8am-noon at the British Legion Club.

Monday 6th February: Deer expert John Maiden talks to the Cerne Sheep Group, 7.30 for 8pm, The Poachers' Inn, Piddletrenthide. More information from Sue on 01300 32007. Every Monday the Bereavement Knit or Natter group meets in Sturminster Newton's Exchange cafe 10am-noon. Nick Lyness gives a lecture on "Flood and Coast Risk - does it matter for the South West?"7pm Thomas Hardye School, Dorchester:

Tuesday 7th: Members of the public are invited to the AGM of the North Dorset Crime Prevention Panel 7pm Gillingham Town Hall. Tea Dance in the RBL Club, Gillingham 2pm. Monthly meeting of the Gillingham Flower Club, 7.30pm in the Town Hall with Christine Ridout demonstrating "Whims & Fancies". All welcome.

Wednesday 8th: Sturminster Newton Floral Group meets 7.30 at The Exchange: a practical session called "Let's Experiment".

Thursday 9th: Blackmore Vale Group of the Somerset & Dorset Family History Society meet 7.30pm in Sturminster Newton's Exchange for a talk by Trevor Fulton on Irish ancestors. Non members very welcome. AGM of Gillingham Gardening Society 2.30pm in the RBL Club.

Friday 10th: Gillingham Country Market 8.3011.30am Methodist Church Hall.
