My favourite Dorchester Tearoom

This place has so much character and the pastries and sticky buns are delicious. It had been here forever and they know how to keep the customers coming back for more. Lovely light place to meet up for a coffee and a cake.

Perfect for tea and cake

What I love about the Horse With The Red Umbrella is it's totally unpretentious. you want tea? Cake? Soup? Good service? Lovely traditional cafe, that's buzzing with people? Then come here. Cheers!

Quaint old tea room with fabulous cake!!

The Horse With The Red Umbrella has been open since the Seventies, I think, so it's certainly got that retro feel. As it's on the corner of High West Street and Trinity Street I'm always tempted to pop in for a little something every time I pass by. It's a great place to meet friends and catch up over a steaming mug or pot of tea, and what can I say about the cake selection - except you won't be able to resist temptation! The staff are friendly and welcoming. A slice of good old-fashioned cafe culture. See you there!
