A little bit of love!

The problem is (as with most Fish and Chip shops) is not the cost, size of portion or even quality of ingredients, it's the way in which it's all cooked. EVERY time i get chips form Case and Brewers they are soggy and undercooked. Basically its all to do with how long it's cooked and how hot the oil is. I don't know how hot they're oil is but i do know they don't cook the chips long enough. The fish is okay, i wouldn't expect it to be really crispy whilst kepping the fish moist so they've got the balance and the batter about right there. They're burgers are nice and i'd say better than Mc'donalds but not as nice as Burger Kings. The scampi is cooked from frozen which is fine by me except they were obviously just chucked in the frier and not moved about, so they are overcooked on one side and soggy on the other. I do still use them but what i do is cook the chips for 10 minutes in my oven and then there delicious. I know from experience the secret to great fish 'n' chips hasn't got a simple solution as there are lots and lots of factors but a little bit of love goes a long way!!! I think there should be a tip jars in Fish and Chip shops and fast food resturants, why shouldn't they get a little extra money, then they'll care more about the food more then the food would be nicer etc.....

My favourite chippy in the town as well as my local whenever Im in Dorchester. Consistently provided the best fish and chips in the area although have occasionally been a bit less consistent over the past couple of years but having eaten from there since I can remember I still never get bored of the taste.
