Did you know it's BAKE WITH COMPASSION MONTH... Will you take the free-range challenge?!
Bake with Compassion is the annual fundraiser of the farm animal welfare charity Compassion in World Farming, and is returning for its fourth year, running throughout the month of October.
Compassionate Bakers in Dorset and throughout the UK will be baking with higher welfare ingredients such as free-range eggs and organic dairy products, or using vegan ingredients to make this a compassionate month to remember!
Compassionate Dorset are holding our 3rd Vegan Cake Sale in Dorchester town centre on Saturday 6th October where we will also be selling our funky farm animal t-shirts and giving away lots of free meat-free recipes and Good Food Guides explaining how to check the labels for high welfare meat and dairy.
Local Dietitians Sandra Hood and Sarah Smith are also running a fundraising workshop on 'Nutritional Cooking for Health & Vitality' at the Dorford Centre in Dorchester on Saturday 20th October as part of Bake With Compassion Month and urge the people of Dorset to get their baking aprons on!
Why not have a go at baking your own treats using only high welfare ingredients or even vegan ingredients - to impress your friends and show that you can bake yummy food without causing suffering to animals!
