The Gaggle of Geese celebrated 25 years of the Goose Auction being held in the grounds of the pub by raising £5,000 for Charity in the May 2010 Auction which is a record in the history of the Goose Auction. The day was attended by 1700 people and had over 400 lots of poultry to sell. Ringwood Brewery kindly brewed up Silver Goose to celebrate the anniversary and Wessex FM was broadcasting live from the event.
The money has been split between three charities which are close to the hearts of the volunteers who help out on the day. The charities are Julia’s House Hospice, The Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance and the MS Society.
Since taking over the pub in the summer of 2008, Emily & Mark have, with the help of villagers, friends and family raised nearly £15,000 for local charities at the twice yearly Auctions.
The next auction is held at the pub on Sunday 12th September. Entries close on Monday 6th September. There is a Farmers Market, Craft Stalls, Car Boot Sale, BBQ, Pig Roast and Raffle. Please contact Emily or Mark if you wish to enter birds or have a pitch in the Farmers Market or Car Boot Sale.

Hi
Come along this sunday and have a look at what we do. You would then need to make a pitch to the comittee to be a nominated charity at one of next years events.
Regards
Mark
