If you're clued up on what makes Dorchester a great place to eat, shop, relax or even exercise, and would like a bit of extra cash, Dorchester People wants to hear from you.

We're offering £50 for 35 snippets about the best independent businesses serving your community. Any business counts as long as it's not part of a big chain.

All you need to do is tell us in about 50 words what you like about your favourite independent businesses and why people should use them.

Simply register with the site then have a look through our comprehensive local listings to find the businesses that you want to write about. Write a few sentences about why they're so good and then give them a star rating out of five. Click 'submit' and you're done!

Masala, Dorchester

This is a great place. I first came here when I couldn't into the Rajpoot and I was very pleased to have discovered it, along with a small group of friends. It's somewhere we continue to go back to - great choice of dishes and very reasonably priced. The service is excellent- very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Thoroughly recommend it.

La Caverna

I have been here twice. Once with a boyfriends parents, and once for a date. Both times I loved the place. The staff have no rush to get you out and make you feel at home. Every mouthful tasted amazing, and very helpful to my vegan boyfriend. All three courses were perfect! GREAT FOOD!
