Preparations for local Legion Band Armistice Concert in full swing

Armistice Concert. The band only hold the event every other year and
this year it is to be held on 9th November 2010 at the Regent Centre,
Christchurch at 7.30pm.
The concert will have the Local and National Standards from the Royal
British Legion, together with a representation of local ex servicemen.
Their Director of Music said "this year the format is very
different from the previous years. The first half is a remembrance of
the sacrifice which our service men and women made and still make for
their country. The second half of the concert is a celebration of our
military in music".
The concert will feature some fine soloists and real foot tapping music, plus a special war time sing along.
Completely new for this year, a feature slot by The Christchurch Royal British Legion Big Band remembering the war time era.
The Armistice Concert has previously been a sell out so advance booking is advisable. Tickets are available from the Regent Centre, Christchruch - Priced £10 and Concessions £9
