The Casterbridge is a cute little Georgian property with decently sized rooms and good ambience about the place. The breakfast is one of the things I seem to always remember about this place. Its well located in the High Street and I think anyone would instantly find this place as charming.

The Casterbridge is on the busy High Street in Dorchester, so an excellent location for visiting the busy town but not so great for a peaceful country getaway.
The Casterbridge however met all my needs as I came to explore the town and the hotel is walking distance to Thomas Hardys cottage and to the Max Gate.
There is a lot to do in Dorset and in the countryside beyond.
The accommodation at The Casterbridge was excellent; my room was above standard, a very friendly and helpful hostess and the breakfast was amazing- a very pleasant surprise.
