Young performers get together in Dorchester Borough Gardens on bank holiday Monday

Magna Housing Association is sponsoring an event coming up in Dorchester’s Borough Gardens on bank holiday Monday.

The free event, called Moving On, is on Monday 31 May and is part of Dorchester Festival. It features young local bands, DJs, dancers and performers showcasing their work.

It takes place from 12.45pm to 3pm and the line-up includes Pop Club, Karmaside, 3 Hours In, The Sanctuary, Epic Journey, Change Of Scene, DJ Crux and friends, Distinction dance company, Dorchester Youth Theatre, Simyune Djembe Drummers from Budmouth Technology College.

David Aldwinkle, director of Magna Housing Association, said: “Magna is pleased to be supporting the Dorchester Festival, an event that brings the whole community together. Moving On will be a real opportunity for young people in the area to showcase their talents in music, theatre and dance.”

    Love the balloon picture! Makes me feel all summery. Looking forward to this event a lot. I'm particularly excited about seeing Dorchester Youth Theatre perform, I was a member many years ago and it's great to see it's still going strong!
