Excellent everything was excellent!

The staff here are just lovely and the service is first class. You can buy alcohol and sweets at the foyer and the tickets prices are insanely good value. The screens are a good size and they have all the updated audio and 3D etc. Why slum it in Weymouth when you can visit The Plaza!

    Plaza Cinema

The Plaza on Dorchester’s Trinity Street has always been a fantastic local business in the town, with a rich vein of history and ticket prices you will rarely find anywhere else. However, in the last couple of years the theatre has managed to even improve from that with an extra 2 screens and prices staying roughly the same. Still, as ever, the Plaza has the tastiest popcorn I’ve had at a cinema.

    Best cinema ever

Just moved to the area and thought I'd try out the insanely cheap admission tickets of the Plaza. Thought oh well it might be a bit rubbish but at least its cheap - but in fact it was fantastic. Comfy seats, great sound and good sized theatres, good timings, the prices are like going back in time to when I was teenager. You can buy a normal packet of sweet rather than a bucket sized portion and the whole family can once again go to the cinema without it being a expensive occasional treat. Very Very Happy Customer!

    Plaza Cinema = The best

The Plaza is by far my favourite cinema. Ticket prices are so cheap, and it has the biggest screen in Dorset. They have just had the foyer refurbished and made larger, and now sell far more food and drink inlcuding alcohol, and mulled wine (mulled wine over xmas period only, alcoholic drinks not on sale for family films). and they also have just renumbered their screens in readiness for the 3rd one (to be named screen 2) opening on December 10th. a fourth screen will open next year, and the refurbishment will at last be complete. Really good cinema, really good prices, huge selection of kiosk things now avilable, but at slighlty hugher but still reasonable prices. Freindly staff, too!! What more could you want?

    Briliant

Who needs Orange Wednesdays when the seats are cheap at weekends? It's great to have our own cinema right here in the middle of Dorch. No faceless multiplex for us. We must support this cinema to the hilt, it's brilliant.

    the plaza

The small locally run theatre has a history that most other cinemas in Dorset can dream of. Despite having only 2 screens it does lack in variety of films and often people choose to recite to Cineworld in Weymouth because of this. But with this you get friendly service, prices for tickets and snacks are a lot cheaper than its Ridgeway rival and with much nicer popcorn too.

The tickets are very cheap. Only £2.50 mon-fri and £3.50 sat and sun. The food and drink is reasonably priced. Very good service and friendly staff. They are getting 3D which is very reasonably priced as well. Its only £4.00 mon-fri and £5.00 sat and sun. You won't find cheaper tickets in dorset.
