I was pleasantly surprised last time I went into this Spoons with the girls after work. Normally I order the nachos, but I decided to be different and get the Morroccan curry/tagine thing for a change. Could not decide whether I wanted red wine or white wine - so plumped for rose in the end. And they went together perfectly! The barmaid said that actually that rose had been selected especially to go with that dish, and it really showed. Nachos? Never again!

I like Wetherspoons pubs. You know what you're going to get from them and always have a welcoming atmosphere.

This is a Wetherspoon pub so you know you will be getting good value for money and a range of beer and other drinks at very sensible prices. The food varies - there is the typical Spoons menue so you know exactly what you're getting. But some days it can be really good, other times not so good. Lukewarm chilli isn't the greatest of lunchtime treats. You also need to be careful where you sit at lunchtimes and avoid screaming children. However, the place has lots of room so just take your pick. A good location for a pub so it makes a good meeting place,
