Poor customer service

I have to say I was not impressed with the service in Herrings. I spent about 20 minutes looking for and at frames and not once did anyone ask me (there were about three or four assistants roaming around) if I needed any help. I was almost tempted to steal something just to get attention. In the end, I walked out without buying and ordered much cheaper frames online. But I was very disappointed to feel almost invisible. I feel like if I'd dressed up as Toulouse Lautrec and walked in on my knees they might have taken some notice of me, as a 'real' artist.

It even had green crepe paper!

I was looking for a roll of green crepe paper and I just knew I could find it in Herrings - lo and behold, it was there1 For a snip at something silly like 42 pence. I must admit I did not think much of the customer service, the lady seemed too busy to talk to me, but I was in and out quickly and got what I came for. Who could ask for much more?

    Aladdin's Cave

Herrings is a wonderful place for anyone interested in art and crafting. There are two floors stacked full of stuff to make all sorts of things. A wide range of canvasses, frames, paints and all sorts. You are allowed to browse at leisure here. I could spend a lifetime rummaging through these shelves.

On 19 Jan 2010, I placed an order and asked for it..

On 19 Jan 2010, I placed an order and asked for it to be sent 1st class Royal Mail Recorded and I paid £4.00 postage for this item weighing under 500grams. I rang the shop 5 days later as my item had not arrived, they informed me it had beed sent 2nd class. When my Item arrived, I rang them and I complained about the postage as I'd been over charged. The person on the phone just blamed his staff in the despatch department and did not give me a refund, 2nd class is just £1.85. I'm was dissapointed with this service so much so,I feel other customers should be wear of being over charged by them.
